Understanding distance in parkour lache

What counts as a valid attempt and how distance is measured.

In a lache competition the winner is the athlete who covers the greatest distance between two bars.

An attempt is valid when the athlete releases the first bar, flies free and grips the target bar. Distance is measured between the bars, not between the athlete body positions, which keeps results comparable between events.

The disciplines covered by WAPAF have distinct rules, and the applicable event documents always take precedence over general descriptions.

Check the competition regulations for the pit specification and the number of attempts.
